As a young girl, Amber expressed interest in showing horses.  Her dad, Steve, was more than happy to indulge his daughter’s interest in an activity he also enjoyed.  And if you are going to show horses, you need a way to transport them to the events. So Steve bought their first horse trailer and began thinking “I can sell trailers.” And in 1992, Schuppan’s Trailer Sales and Service was born offering quality livestock, horse, flatbed and utility trailers.

The more Amber showed horses around Nebraska, the more contacts the Schuppans began to make, and the more trailers Steve began to sell.  Amber started helping part-time as she attended college, first on the family farm and later Steve trained her in trailer sales.

Through the years, Schuppan’s Trailer Sales has evolved with the addition of different trailer lines and styles. Becoming a Sundowner Trailer dealer is the latest part of the business’s evolution.  A step the Schuppans are proud to make as Sundowner’s good quality and workmanship meets their standards.

Today, father and daughter still enjoy the common bond of horses as Amber still shows horses during the summer and the family has gotten involved with trail riding together.  A new generation of horse lovers is also beginning with Amber’s daughter, Dylan.  From readying the horses and going to horse shows, to riding her beloved pony “Cookie”, four-year-old Dylan is already preparing for her position in the family pastime and business.
